About us
A house built on seams.
Tat Apparel Co. was founded in 2014 by three former merchandisers who believed Bangladesh could produce garments as well as any factory in the world — if the people making them were treated as well as the buyers.
What started as a single 30-machine sewing floor in Dakshinkhan is now four vertically-integrated factories, 3,400 employees, and 42 production lines shipping to 24 countries. But the mandate has not changed: fewer, better seams; higher wages than the industry average; and a supply chain any buyer can audit unannounced.
We work with heritage European labels, US streetwear houses, and the operations teams behind some of the world's fastest-growing DTC brands. The common thread — no pun intended — is a shared belief that craftsmanship and compliance are not luxuries, and that transparency is the only durable competitive advantage in apparel.
Our merchandising team is small, senior, and works your business hours. Our factory managers have an average tenure of nine years. Our sustainability lead publishes an annual open report. This is what we mean when we say house.
